Between 220-2007, 30% of adults reported only getting an average of 6 hours or less sleep every night- much less than the 7-8 hours they need.
In 2009 only 31% of high school students reports getting 8 hours of sleep or more on the average school night- much less than 9-10 hours needed by teenaged.
A 2009 survey showed that 35.3% of people get less than 7 hours of sleep during a typical 24 hours period
