Projection of Diabetes Burden Through 2050

The number of Americans with diagnosed diabetes is projected to increase 165%, from 11 million in 2000 (prevalence of 4.0%) to 29 million in 2050 (prevalence of 7.2%).  The largest percent increase in diagnosed diabetes will be among those aged75 years (271% in women and 437% in men). The fastest growing ethnic group with diagnosed diabetes is expected to be black males (363% from 2000–2050), with black females (217%), white males (148%), and white females (107%) following. Of the projected 18 million increase in the number of cases of diabetes in 2050, 37% are due to changes in demographic composition, 27% are due to population growth, and 36% are due to increasing prevalence rates.

Pinnaclife nutritional supplements can help with diabetes!

Why Pinnaclife Works:

Hydroxytyrosol has been scientifically proven to be efficient in inhibiting hyperglycemia and oxidative stress induced by diabetes. The study suggests that administration of hydroxytyrosol may be helpful in the prevention of diabetic complications associated with oxidative stress.

Studies show that oral supplementation with magnesium solution restores serum magnesium levels, improving insulin sensitivity and metabolic control in type 2 diabetic patients with decreased serum magnesium levels.

Extensive studies show the benefits of high fiber intake in individuals with diabetes.  Fiber supplements improve glycemic control, increase sensitivity to insulin, lower serum lipids, decrease blood pressure and assist in weight management.

Hypertriglyceridemia is associated with cardiovascular disease in diabetes.  The use of fish oil lowers triglyceride levels effectively by almost 30%.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)
CoQ10 helps with carbohydrate metabolism.  Clinical trials suggest that CoQ10 supplementation significantly lowers blood sugar levels and oxygenate the blood and help in cases of diabetic retinopathy.

Alpha-Lipoic-Acid (ALA)
Scientific studies show that in people with diabetes ALA improves skeletal muscle glucose transport, resulting in increased glucose disposal.

Vanadium leads to an increased sensitivity to insulin , and therefore allows diabetic patients to decrease the amount of insulin that they need to keep their blood sugar levels under control.

L-taurine has been reported to improve streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus, in which the development of diabetes results from an attack by oxygen free radicals on pancreatic cells.  Results of a scientific study indicate that taurine is effective in improving insulin sensitivity and hyperlipidemia, presumably because of the cholesterol-lowering effect of increased bile acid production, by decreasing lipid synthesis via increased nitric oxide production, or both.

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC)
NAC is an antioxidant particularly against hydrogen peroxide.  The development of diabetic complications is attributed to the role free radicals play in the pathogenesis of diabetes.  Treatment with NAC retains glucose-stimulated insulin secretion and moderately decreases blood glucose levels.  Also, NAC effectively protects from hyperglycemia-induced cell death and compensatory hypertrophy through direct scavenging of free radicals and by replenishing intracellular glutathione content.
